A TRANS WOMAN BRUTALLY BEATEN IN BRAZIL FOR VOTING AGAINST BOLSONARO

Netinha Matias, was brutally beaten by two Bolsonaro supportersat her residence in the town of Sigefredo Pacheco, in northern Piauí.

“I told them that I did not vote in Bolsonaro and they beat me up, … I’m a good person,” she said, with her bloodied face. When asked who did this to her, Netinha said, “It was Pedro, who is bigger and another who is going to be 18 years from now,” she whispered.

On social networking sites, Netinha Matias is vocal against the candidacy of Jair Bolsonaro and always shared  the new campaign  hatsh tag #EleNão, which means NOT HIM.

Due to how divisive and nasty Jair Bolsonaro is, this election has been particularly dangerous for LGBTIQ people who’s rights and lives are threatened by his hateful views.

“It is very sad and revolting to see the silence of the population with something unjustifiable, in fact, silence to a certain extent, because to judge the victim there are many,” said a friend.”I would like people to educate their children so that this kind of thing does not happen anymore, disrespecting LGBTQ + people must stop in our country, and here in Sigefredo Pacheco,” said another friend of Netinha.

Sigefredo Pacheco’s police have arrested the accused and were referred to the Campo Maior Police Station for legal proceedings. They denied any political preference or motivation, they claimed to have attacked her because she solicited them.
